Blake McLean served the communities in the Kennewick, Washington area as a full-time missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He taught the gospel of Jesus Christ and volunteered doing farm work, construction, food distribution, and working at the Pendleton Round-Up rodeo in northern Oregon. His ministry also included organizing community sport activities and working with young single adults.
McLean especially enjoyed sharing the message of healing and compassion that comes through faith in Jesus Christ, saying, “When our Savior, Jesus Christ, looks upon us, He sees and understands the pain and burden of our sins. He sees our addictions and challenges. He sees our struggles and afflictions of any kind - and He is filled with compassion toward us.”
All are invited to hear McLean speak to his home congregation, Gridley 1st Ward, on Sunday, February 11, at 10:30 a.m. at 400 Spruce St. in Gridley.
McLean will return to BYU-Idaho in the spring to continue work on his degree in business. His parents are Josh and Angela McLean.
