GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) - The Gridley Area Chamber of Commerce threw down the gauntlet to the citizens of Gridley, challenging them to put forth their best efforts, and lights, blow-ups, and holiday props, in the annual Light Up Gridley Contest.

Each year, the chamber holds a Christmas light contest and certain houses shine brighter than others – literally. Bedazzled and decked with Christmas decorations of all sorts, locals know where to go to get a great light show.

The Chamber named the following locations the winners of their Light Up Gridley Christmas light contest, listing them from 1st to 3rd:  First place: 435 Paradox Street; Second place: 440 Washing Street; Third place: 613 Little Avenue.

The Chamber will be awarding the lucky winners prizes of $200 for 1st, $150 for 2nd, and $100 for 3rd.
