Sanchez Runs at State

GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) - Gridley High School Cross Country team crossed its last finish line for the season Thursday, November 9, 2023, at the Sectional Championships held at West Valley High School.
Except for one member.
Sophomore runner Valentin Sanchez placed 38th out of 178 runners at sectionals, finishing in the top 11 of the Division to qualify for the CIF Cross Country State Championships.
First year cross country coach Jaime Luevano says that “the last cross-country athlete (from Gridley) to compete at the state level were Brennah Payne and Avery Roberts in 2012.”

Sanchez would travel to Fresno, Saturday, November 25, to compete at the CIF Cross Country State Championships.
