GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) - Gridley residents have already gotten a jump putting up their holiday decorations, and if you haven’t, this might entice you to!

The Gridley Area Chamber of Commerce Community Christmas Light Contest is back again, with a special twist added for the four main streets through town.

In an effort to make Gridley and the Winter Wonderland Festival and Parade of Lights shine even brighter, Spruce, Hazel, Sycamore, and Magnolia streets are being sponsored by each of the service groups in the community, Gridley Rotary, Quota Club, Knights of Columbus and Gridley Lions Club. The most festively decorated home on each of the four above listed streets will have a chance at a $100 prize. Winners will be chosen by the service group sponsoring their street and announced at a later date.

For the rest of the community, the Chamber plans to award a 1st-place prize of $200, 2nd-place prize of $100, and 3rd-place prize of $50 to the brightest and best decorated homes throughout the city of Gridley.

Judging deadlines will be announced by the Chamber at a later date. Until then, get your home glowing and help light up Gridley for the holidays!
