GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) - Under a handcrafted balloon arch, one of the business’s specialties, Anthony’s Balloons officially moved to its new location in downtown Gridley.

Anthony’s Balloons creates custom balloon designs for an array of events, including bridal and baby showers, parties, weddings, and more.

Owner Anthony Velazquez began his business online and has been managing the ballooning enterprise ever since. The young businessman opened his first store-front location in downtown Biggs just over a year ago and has now moved it to Gridley.

Together with the Gridley Area Chamber of Commerce and his family, Velazquez welcomed the public to share his joy in opening his new location with a ribbon cutting and open house, Friday afternoon. 

Velasquez shared he was excited about the store’s opening, telling the Herald he enjoyed the feeling of expanding and hoped everything would go well. He shares that he has had a passion for balloons from a young age and that he has always dreamt of turning his hobby into a business. With his family and the community’s support, Anthony’s Balloons became a reality.

As guests browsed an extensive array of balloons, from latex to mylar, and gifts, Velazquez explained that his new store is stocked with quality products at a range of price points, including the pre-made bags designed for arch and garland building in a wide spectrum of colors. He also carries a selection of props which his clients can choose from to customize their event backdrop and personally design their balloon color schemes if they wish.
