SACRAMENTO, CA (MPG) - On Sunday, May 28, 2023, there will be a Reading of the Names during the Memorial Day weekend at the California Vietnam Veterans Memorial at State Capitol Park in Sacramento.

Volunteers will sign up at Vietnam Veterans of America Sacramento Valley’s Chapter #500 through a phone call or their website to read for 15-minute increments as the next volunteer will continue to read 15-minute segment, etc… to stop for annual ceremony at 12 noon for one hour to resume reading until last name is read.

Sacramento County Supervisor Sue Frost will be speaking at the ceremony site at 12:40 pm as the honored guest and will be recognizing and awarding the surviving 7 team workers alive of the original 26.
