68th Gridley Invitational Boys Basketball Tournament

GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) - The sixty-eighth annual Gridley Invitational Basketball Tournament boasts its traditional loaded field.

This year’s participants in order of their State preseason rank by CalHiSports:

Dublin High School of Dublin Preseason #19 The Gaels are led by division one recruit Courtney Anderson Jr. Salesian Prep of Richmond Preseason #25 - The Pride are led by Emerson Jones, Amani Johnson, Eric Watson, and Alvin Loving IV. Archbishop Riordan of San Francisco Preseason #26  Some of the top players for the Dons this year include Christian Wise, Jasir Rencher, and Alex Kuminga (brother of Golden State Warrior Johnathon Kuminga). Oakland Tech of Oakland Preseason #36.  The Bulldogs are led by Ahmaree Muhammad, Omar Staples and Mahlik Smith; Campolindo High School of Moraga; The Branson School of Ross; Clovis North of Clovis.

The Gridley Invitational Basketball Tournament is December 8th, 9th, and 10th.  All games will be at Farmers Hall at the Butte County Fairgrounds in Gridley.  Game times on the 8th and 9th are 4:00, 5:30, 7:00, and 8:30.  On the 10th, the seventh place game tips at 2:00, the consolation championship game starts at 3:30, the third place game starts at 5:00, and the championship game tips at 6:30.  Admission is $10 per day or $20 for a weekend pass.
