GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) - Sycamore School has really stepped up to help local food closets with non-perishable items this winter.
Earlier this month, Sycamore Middle Schools’ staff and students collected 2,326 non-perishable food items to donate to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Parish and the St. Vincent De Paul’s food closet. Sycamore’s ASB students even helped deliver and sort the items for the closet.
Now they are turning to a different type of collection.
The 23rd Annual Sycamore School Coat & Blanket Drive is currently underway. Please consider donating new or lightly used items in good condition to one of the following collection sites: Sycamore Middle School, Gridley High School, and Esperanza High School. The deadline for your donations is December 7, 2022.
Coats and blankets collected will be donated to the Sacred Heart Parish Hall and the Society of St. Vincent De Paul, which helps the needy with food, clothing, and financial assistance.
To learn more or to donate directly to the Society of St. Vincent De Paul, please call (530) 588-9777.
