GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) - Sycamore School held its 6th annual Socktober Drive in the month of October.

Socks were collected by the students to donate to those in need. Diana Sanchez collected them, and on behalf of the students, donated them to various shelters throughout Butte County, including: Torres Shelter (True North Housing Alliance), Jesus Center, 6th Street Drop In Center (homeless youth only) and The Haven (Catalyst Domestic Violence Shelter) all in Chico.

In the past years, socks have also been dropped off to Oroville Rescue Mission, Oroville Hope Center & Sacred Heart Clothes Closet (Gridley).

Thank you to our entire community for donating socks to Sycamore School and helping all these shelters during the winter months.
