GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) - Orchard Hospital has hired its new chief financial officer (CFO), Chris Roberts.

Chris received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from California State University in Chico, is a licensed certified public accountant (CPA), and is currently fulfilling a CFO role at San Joaquin General Hospital in French Camp, CA.  Chris and his wife, Regina, recently purchased a home in Yuba City to get near their three children and three grandchildren and plan to relocate permanently in the upcoming weeks.

“I’m looking forward to returning to the area and joining the Orchard Hospital team”, says Roberts.  “The best time in my career was when I worked in a small hospital like Orchard Hospital.  I found an immediate connection to the community and our patients and I know I’ll have that same experience at Orchard Hospital”, Roberts continues.  “In my spare time I enjoy sports, mainly baseball, doing home improvement projects, and weekend BBQs with friends and family”, Roberts concludes.

“Finding a strong CFO that could assist in financing a renovation or new construction hospital was important to me and the Board.  Chris has years of experience in finding ways to take on major construction financing, which we will leverage to upgrade or replace our 74-year-old hospital”, says Steve Stark, Orchard Hospital’s chief executive officer.  “We feel very fortunate that Orchard Hospital was looking for a new CFO at the same time Mr. Roberts was looking to get back to the area.  His genuine passion for small, rural health care is obvious and we’re looking forward to Chris and his family joining our hospital and our community”, Stark concludes.
