BIGGS, CA (MPG) - Recently, members of the Miller family met with Biggs High School’s Principal, Tyler Rutledge, to deliver a special plaque in honor of a long-time employee of the school.

Shirley Miller worked for Biggs High School as a Librarian, and also a California Scholarship Foundation advisor for the school for many years. She began her career at Biggs High School in 1979 and dedicated herself to the students there until she retired in 2009. She was known as “Shirl” to many generations of students that have come up through the years at BHS. With her recent passing, her family wanted to memorialize her and her love for the students through a plaque in her honor.

Last week, her loving husband, Ed Miller, delivered the plaque to the high school where it was graciously received by Principal Rutledge. The plan is to have the plaque installed in the library, befitting of Shirley’s legacy and commitment to the students of Biggs.
