This Valentine is 4-You!

GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) – Members of local 4-H chapters have come together to create hand-crafted Valentine’s Day Cards for area hospitals and nursing homes.
It has become an annual tradition for Manzanita 4-H to participate in this fun community service project. Members of all ages come together to create bright Valentine’s Day cards to donate them to facilities and to individuals that may be in need of extra cheer. Historically, the cards have been donated to Seniors at Orchard’s Skilled Nursing Facility, Hovlid. This year, Manzanita 4-H is considering donating them to Orchard Hospital’s Medical Surgical Unit or potentially, Live Oak’s River Valley Care Center.
Manzanita 4-H is not the only big-hearted group in the area. Reportedly, Biggs 4-H is also making hand-made cards to deliver to someone special this year.
Whoever the recipients end up being, we are sure they will love the 4-H’ers talent, thoughtfulness and their heartwarming cards.
