GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) - You may have noticed some changes around the hardware store, nursery and rental spot, Mac’s Market.

Owner of the store, Dean McKelvey, says that they have been in the process of making upgrades to the store, including expanding some of their storage space and utilizing their real estate more efficiently.

An eye-catching feature is their freshly refurbished fueling station. McKelvey says that about five months ago, Mac’s finished putting in new dispensers and pumps. The new pumps feature TV screens for news and entertainment while customers refuel. To top it all off, a flashy new canopy has been installed over the fueling station featuring Mac’s logo, rental information and phone number on the west and east sides, and a hand-painted American Flag on the north and southern sides. The pumps themselves even have American Flag toppers that designate the pump number.

When asked about the All-American theme of his fueling station, McKelvey said, “We are in an area, I think, that is proud to be an American. We’re not as timid as other areas to show that.” He continues, “We’re just proud to be Americans, and we want to fly our colors and let everybody else appreciate them.”
