GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) - Gridley Education Foundation is currently registering for its annual fundraiser, the 2021 “Swing for Schools” Golf Tournament.
The Gridley Education Foundation says the Golf Tournament is “A win/win event. You will have a great morning of golf and be supporting a most worthy of causes, our children.” The annual tournament is just one of the ways that the Education Foundation fundraises to support the needs of local students and schools.
This year the “Swing for the Schools” tournament will be held at Peach Tree Golf and Country Club in Marysville, June 14th. Tournament registration is $125 per golfer, and includes 18 holes of golf, the cart and lunch. Foursomes are $450. Additional contests to be held that day include men & women closest to the pin, men & women’s longest drive, putting contest and games on the green.
Besides a list of bonuses depending on your sponsorship level, sponsors may also choose to designate their sponsorship dollars to a list of current and future projects set to benefit Gridley youth, including Baseball Complex (at the high school), Carlin Classroom Grants, AG Science Development, Gridley Education Foundation Projects and more. Sponsorships start at the $125 range up to $1,000+.
If you are ready to “Swing for the Schools”, please mail or otherwise submit your registration, sponsorship information and payment to foundation member Art Cota at 428 Sheldon Avenue, Gridley, CA 95948 by Monday, June 7th. For more information, please call 530-356-1612.
Cota says of the tournament, “It’s a great time for the golfers, low stress…. not a lot of good golfers but a ton of fun! And the end result is we raise money for the kids.” Sounds like a win/win to us too!
