Gridley High School Varsity Softball Finishes 2021 Season

GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) - Gridley High School varsity softball finished their 2021 season last Friday, May 28, 2021, at Las Plumas High School. In a hard fought battle, the Lady Bulldogs fell to the Lady Thunderbirds, 10-6. The Lady Bulldogs finished the 2021 season with an overall record of 8-12 (4-8 Butte View League). The team started the season off with an 8-2 record and went on a nine game skid before seeing another W in the win column. The Lady Bulldogs beat teams from Colusa High School, Lindhurst High School, Durham High School, Chico High School, Orland High School (x2), Las Plumas High School, and Oroville High School.
In their final season on the diamond, the Lady Bulldogs say one last good-bye to their amazing athletes and seniors: Ally Mardesich (#7), Ciah Moran (#8), Elesia Fuentes (#12), Isabelle Hernandez (#11), Maddy Hamman (#6), Maribel Garcia (#2), and Marysa Taylor (#22).
Isabelle Hernandez will be continuing her softball career at the next level when she goes to play at Butte College this Fall.
