GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) - Gridley High School Leadership Class needs your help with their continuing fundraiser “Pennies for Patients!
Last Friday, the Leadership Class kicked off their fundraising efforts for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society with a free drive-in movie night at the high school. Students sold popcorn and drinks, with all proceeds going to the charity.
This weekend, March 20th, these driven students will take to the streets, literally, as they continue to raise funds for this well deserving charity with their “Bucket Blast” event. Students will be posted at the major intersections along Highway 99 with donation buckets for their collection campaign, in-keeping with safe social distancing practices. Leadership Advisor Jennifer Davidson says, “If you’d like to donate to a worthy cause just hold your donation out the window at a stoplight and we’ll come to the car to collect it from you!”
Leadership student Elesia Fuentes, who has been part of the “Bucket Blast” over the last two years, says, “It’s an awesome way to raise money along with Pennies for Patients. We have a lot of fun doing it every year and I’m excited to see how much we will raise this year!”
GHS Leadership Students will be out with their collection buckets beginning at 10:00 am Saturday morning until noon along the Hwy 99 Corridor in Gridley.
