GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) - Although there is a lot that could change between May 15^th and now, Gridley Area Chamber of Commerce is officially announcing that Red Suspenders Day 2021 is a GO!

The chamber is currently updating its vendor and will have more information for the community after a planning meeting scheduled for Wednesday, March 3^rd. Revised applications will be available for interested vendors shortly. The Chamber is diligently planning this year’s event, taking into account current CDC guidelines and social distancing practices to mitigate any COVID exposure. All facets of the festival will require social distancing measures and will hold to state and county guidelines in respect to COVID19 precautions.

As tradition, members of our community can expect to plan for bail as the Unjustice Court police come to serve their arrest warrants. The socially distanced Unjustice Court will be held Friday, May 14^th from 9:00 am-2:00 pm in the downtown parks.

Other activities confirmed for Red Suspenders Day 2021 are the Little League Pancake Breakfast at Railroad Park from 7:00 – 11:00 am, the bed races, slotted for 9:30 am, followed by more fun community activities and events that are still being planned. The parade will commence at 11:00 am in the downtown corridor and the show-stopping, splashing good-time created by our local firefighters and their Firefighter Games will finish off the day’s events.
