LIVE OAK, CA (MPG) – To honor the legacy of those who served their country, Wreaths Across America will be offering decorative wreaths for veterans buried at Live Oak Cemetery District this season.

On Saturday, December 19, 2020, local residents are invited to a ceremony honoring veterans, many of whom are oftentimes forgotten because their loved ones have passed away or are far from Live Oak.

Keith Churchill of the American Legion said veterans should be remembered and not forgotten because every year of freedom we live is a legacy left to our generations by those who served.

If you wish to purchase a wreath for those veterans buried at Live Oak Cemetery through Yuba Sutter Veterans Stand Down, make sure you order soon because it takes time to deliver.

Wreaths are $15 each and for every two wreaths purchased the cemetery will receive a third wreath free.

The service will begin at 9:00 am on December 19, 2020 at Live Oak Cemetery.
