GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) - In honor of our nation’s fallen servicemen and women and in recognition of those still serving, the Gridley-Biggs Military Veterans Court of Honor Committee invites area residents to join the annual Memorial Day Ceremony and observances on May 26.
This year’s event featured speaker is Colonel Glen Brady, retired from the United States Air Force after 26 years of distinguished service. The ceremony will conclude with a fighter jet flyover by pilots from the Ninth Reconnaissance Wing at Beale Air Force Base.
The Community Memorial Day Ceremony will be at the Gridley-Biggs Cemetery District, 2023 Highway 99, Gridley, from 10 to 11 a.m. May 26.

Local citizens representing the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion and the Gridley-Biggs Cemetery formed the Gridley-Biggs Military Veterans Court of Honor Committee in 1996 to raise funds for a memorial to honor veterans of foreign wars and overseas action as well as those who have served in peace time.
