The Gridley Lil Gators held a swim meet Tuesday night at the Gridley pool. The event was special because it was geared towards the young swimmers of the club, the under six age group.

Mel McLaughlin may have retired from Biggs High School in 1992, but he has continued to work ever since then.
Never one to step back and take it easy, McLaughlin was substituting at Biggs Elementary and working at Oroville Adult School since then, until June 25, 2010.

Butte County has been given the Best Design Award, the Best Content and a Gold Medal for their entry in the California State Fair.
A total of 30 counties constructed exhibits over the last month, and the awards have been presented. Best of Show honors went to Placer County. A long standing fan favorite, the Counties Exhibit continues to draw crowds of fairgoers every year who support their favorite county.
