GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) - The Gridley Area is preparing to honor those lost during the attack at Pearl Harbor, on December 7, 1941.
A Remembrance Ceremony will be held this coming Wednesday, December 7th at 9:50 am at the Gridley-Biggs Cemetery Veterans Court of Honor.
VFW Commander Ed Kawasaki provided us with a brief outline of the program.
A moment of silence will be held at 0955 hours, followed by the Pearl Harbor Prayer, Pledge of Allegiance, and the singing of the National Anthem by our local treasure, Kari Wheeler.
The remainder of the program will include laying of wreaths for WWII veterans, a Two Bell Ceremony by Lynne Spencer, Rifle Salute, Taps and a closing prayer.
