Sports are fun. Anyone who participates, coaches, or watches the game knows this is reality. Where else can you smile, laugh, cry, all the while exerting yourself and letting your feelings be known as you root for your favorite team. Biggs head coach Tim Sheridan knows the other side as well. Sometimes sports can give you headaches, gray hair, and stomach issues.

Monday night, Sheridan's Lady Wolverines provided smiles, laughter, tears, and plenty of headaches, stomach issues as Biggs jumped out to a big lead on the visiting Sutter Huskies early, then let the lead slip away, only to mount a furious fourth quarter comeback to notch an impressive 45-43 win over Sutter.

“We played really well early in the game, then we got goofy and gave it all away.” said Sheridan. “Then we fought back and earned the win in the end.”

After jumping out to an early 15-2 lead after one quarter, and extending the lead to 21-2 before Sutter hit their second basket, Biggs slowly but surely began to let Sutter back into the game in the second quarter. Turnovers plagued the Wolverines, who instead of burying the Huskies with the intensity they began the game with instead started to tire, and then the turnovers began to plague Biggs.

Sutter outscored Biggs 12-1 over the final 4:30 of the second quarter, and pulled to within 27-17 at the half to make the game reachable.

Biggs did a good job attacking Sutters big inside presence, 6' 3” Erika Larsen, forcing her into foul trouble as she picked up her third foul early in the second quarter. The Wolverines didn't take advantage of the situation however, as Larsen stayed in the game, but Biggs didn't attack her, allowing to begin to gain some momentum offensively, scoring eight of her 16 points in the second quarter surge.
