The North Butte Masonic Lodge #230 F. & A.M., held it's 139th Annual Installation of Officers Saturday, December 17, 2011. The pictures of Past Masters line the walls of the lodge dating all the way back to 1873 when Mathias Leonard Tescher was Worshipful Master. Fast forward to 2012, and Don McVicker took over the reins from 2011's Worshipful Master Drew Becker last Saturday.
Performing the installation of the 2012 officers was Richard Sutherland, Past Master (PM), of Oroville with Darrel Deatherage, P.M., as Master of Ceremonies from Chico, and Installing Chaplain Harold White, P.M., of Oroville. Past Master Ed Becker followed the invocation by White, by asking for prayers for fellow Mason, Brother Richard Onyett who had died Monday, December 12, 2011, and for his family.
Senior Warden duties have been given to John James Gill, P.M., and Junior Warden will be John Neiswanger, P.M. The job of Treasurer was passed to William G. Marsh, P.M.; Secretary Eldon Brownell, P.M.; Chaplain Richard Watson; Senior Deacon Jim Farrar; Junior Deacon Steve Fredericks; Marshal George Onyett, P.M.; Senior Steward Steve Dowd; Junior Steward Merle Metcalf and Tiler David Williams, P.M.
