Gridley is the hometown of Soil Basics Corporation (SBC) General Manager Julie (Daddow) Sannar and her husband, the late Clay Sannar who passed away in 2010.
For the second year, Sannar brought her Visalia based business to Gridley to share the wealth of information she and her colleagues have on soil and give prescriptions for their plant health needs.
Soil Basics began in 1995 and has come a long way in building partnerships to create a solid foundation for providing the highest level of scientific evaluations and proven agronomic solutions in today's highly competitive farming environment.
The objective of Soil Basics is to put growers ahead of the curve in the battle for an economic advantage.
Sannar explained the need for Efficiency and Efficacy. Efficiency was described as trying to do more with less and efficacy, effectiveness with value and work.
"We have the tools, products and technologies to share with you to increase your efficiency and efficacy with Soil Basics," Sannar told the 50 people in attendance at Butte Hall in the Butte County Fairgrounds.
Jim White, of J.M.W. Ag Consulting Services, Inc., has worked with Soil Basics since the beginning and described how to combine the best of chemical and biological technologies. White described how to stimulate plant metabolisms with bio stimulants, soil biology, nutrient release and knowledge and experience.
