A Funeral Service will be held Friday, February 12, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints located on Spruce Street, Gridley, for Beth J. Roberts, 92 of Gridley, California.  She passed away Sunday, February 7, 2010 at her residence in Gridley of natural causes.

Beth was born November 12, 1917 in Metropolis, Nevada.  She was a long time resident of Gridley, moving here at the age of 14.  She enjoyed traveling, dancing and sports.  She was a life long member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints having served in the Relief Society, Primary and Young Women.  She also volunteered as a Pink Lady at the Biggs-Gridley Memorial Hospital for several years.  She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Roberts, 1 son, Daniel Roberts, 2 sisters: Leone Peterson and Marie Smith; and 1 brother, Dale Jensen.

She is survived by 1 daughter, Kay Smith of Gridley, CA; 3 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by 2 sisters: Arlene Dial of Salt Lake City, Utah and Bodell Bollie of Salt Lake City, Utah.

A Visitation will be held Thursday, February 11, 2010 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Gridley-Block Funeral Chapel.

Brother James Brown of the Gridley Third Ward Bishopric of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints will officiate at the services.

Interment will be held at Gridley-Biggs Cemetery.

Contributions to the Biggs-Gridley Memorial Hospital, the Gridley Education Foundation, and the LDS Humanitarian Fund are suggested by the family.

Arrangements are entrusted to Gridley-Block Funeral Chapel.
