Services will be held at a later date for Warren R. Bacon, 66 of Gridley, California. He passed away Saturday, February 6, 2010 at Enloe Medical Center in Chico of natural causes.
Warren was born November 27, 1943 in Wayne, Michigan. He was a long time resident of Gridley and a former resident of the Bay Area. He served in the United States Army during peace time and was stationed in Germany. He enjoyed boating, water sports and traveling. His traveling included many trips to Hawaii where he loved staying by the water. He was an avid Elvis fan. He was a Lutheran by faith and loved the Lord. Warren’s family would like to take this opportunity to thank Lloyd Pierce for his many years of caring for Warren and also for his devoted friendship.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Antoinette Bacon of Biggs, CA; 1 daughter, Debra Wood & husband Mike of Biggs, CA; and 3 grandchildren. He is also survived by 1 brother, Gary Bacon of MI, 1 sister, Jean Washburn of MI and 1 half-brother, Danny Hogland.
Private interment will be held.
Arrangements are entrusted to Gridley-Block Funeral Chapel.
