Michael “Mikey” Gene Kluender, 43, passed away and entered into the Lord's hands on Saturday, January 23, 2010 in Oroville, California.

He was born January 28, 1966 in Oroville, to Mary and Larry Kluender, of Oroville. He moved with his parents to Stockton, California, graduating from Tokay High School, in Lodi, in 1985.  When he moved back to Oroville, he transferred to the Oroville Wal-Mart # 1575, and had been there for over 16 years.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and loved computers, video games like World of Warcraft and enjoyed hearing, and telling a good joke.

He is survived by his loving wife Lorraine, of Oroville; his parents Mary and Larry Kluender, of Oroville, sister Cindy and husband Richard Strawderman, of Stockton,; his grandmother Louise Kluender-Hart, of Las Vegas; his Aunt Denise and husband Alan Carrell, of Las Vegas; his uncle Dennis and wife Maryann Kluender, of Gardena; cousins Kathy Birdwell and  husband Greg and their children Amanda and Kristen Birdwell, of Yuba City, Kristin Quinn and husband Jim Quinn, of Henderson; William "Billy" Conner, of Oroville; step-uncle Joe High and wife Claire, of Oroville. He is also survived by his stepsons Paul Fortney, of Gridley, and David Fortney, of Chico, along with his Wal-Mart Family from store # 1575, in Oroville.

He was  preceded in death by his grandfathers William Lavey, Walter T. Kluender, and grandmother Josephine Lavey-High-Wallice, father-in-law Elmer W. Crumpton and his oldest sister Kelly Lyn Kluender.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Michael at the Foothill Community Church, 2475 Foothill Boulevard, Oroville, by Pastor Phil Gilmore, on Monday, March 1, 2010, at 4:00 p.m.  All are invited to a fellowship reception to follow his service.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Oroville Funeral Home, everything else is in God’s hands.
The family would like to thank everyone for their condolences and prayers in the unexpected passing of Michael.  God Bless.
