A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, January 14, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Gridley-Block Funeral Chapel for Zina Marie Ford, 99 of Anderson, California. She passed away Saturday, January 9, 2010 at Oak River Rehab in Anderson, California of natural causes.
Zina was born October 18, 1910 in Iowa. She was a long time former resident of Gridley having worked as an RN at Biggs-Gridley Memorial Hospital for several years. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting and knitting. She also enjoyed gardening and cooking and was well known for her pie making. She was a member of First Methodist Church in Anderson.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harry Ford; 2 daughters Jolene and Rae; and 7 grandchildren.
She is survived by 2 sons: Robert Ford & wife Rose of La Pine, Oregon and Jerry Ford & wife Cicila of Gridley, California; and 1 daughter: Barbara Ward & husband Roger of Anderson, California. She is also survived by 1 sister, Darlene Hurd of Iowa; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
A Visitation will be held Thursday, January 14, 2010 at 9:00 AM through the time of the Service.
Pastor John Sparks of Grace Bible Church, in Gridley will officiate at the services.
Interment will be held at Gridley-Biggs Cemetery.
