A Graveside Service will be held Monday, June 22, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Gridley-Biggs Cemetery for Jeanie Jordan (Lee), 79 of Gridley, California. She passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at Kaiser Foundation Hospital in Roseville, California of natural causes.
Jeanie was born on June 24, 1929 in Hamilton, Ohio. Orphaned as a child she grew up in Corbin Kentucky with her sister, Louise Davis and brother, Roy McQueen. She was a member of Lighthouse Tabernacle in Gridley where she participated in many fund raisers and activities. She was a devoted daughter of Christ. She was an excellent cook, enjoyed crocheting, embroidery and sewing. She prized family and friends above all else.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Jim Jordan, a sister, Louise Davis and 1 granddaughter.
She is survived by her loving husband of 19 years, Harlan Lee of Gridley, CA; 1 son, Luther Jordan & wife, Helen of Pacifica, CA. and 2 daughters: Jauwana Claassen & husband Robert of Chico, CA and Jeri Jordan of Gridley, CA. She is also survived by 1 brother, Roy McQueen & wife, Irma of Windsor, CA; 6 Grandchildren and 9 Great-grandchildren.
Pastor Bill Hammond of Lighthouse Tabernacle in Gridley will officiate at the services.
Interment will be held at Gridley-Biggs Cemetery.
Arrangements are entrusted to Gridley-Block Funeral Chapel.
