On Tuesday, May 18th, our beautiful mother/grandmother/great-grandmother Una C. Morgan went home to dance with her two sons Dwaine and Kenneth, to sing with her Mama Ruby, to hold her baby grandson David and to hold the hand of her one true love, Robert.
Una was born on May 13, 1939 in Lebanon, Virginia. She was the 7th of 8 children. Una and her 3 children settled in California in 1968. She worked for Gridley School District and Gridley Cannery for approximately 32 years.
She enjoyed crocheting, stamp and coin collecting and spending time with her family. Una is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Denise Webber-Clay and Jerry Clay of Biggs, CA. Four grandchildren Dizarea (Sean) of Olivehurst CA, Darrik of Biggs, CA, Joshua of Gridley, CA, and Krista of Yuba City, CA, and two great grandsons Tony and Frankie of Olivehurst, CA. She is also survived by three sisters and two brothers, Joyce of Gridley CA, Eva of White City Oregon, Nana of Umatilla Florida, Bill of Yuba City, CA, and Winfred of Alexander Arkansas. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held at Holycross Memorial Chapel in Yuba City, CA on Sunday, May 23 and funeral services were conducted on Monday, May 24 at Lighthous Tabernacle in Gridley, CA.
We have been so lucky to have had the time we did with you. We miss you, but know that you are in such a better place...thumbs up!
