A Graveside Service will be held Monday, January 23, 2012 at 11 A.M. at Gridley-Biggs Cemetery for Donald Loyd Pinion, 75 of Gridley, California. He passed away Monday, January 16, 2012 at Enloe Medical Center in Chico, California.
Donald was born October 8, 1936 in Gridley, California. He was a life long resident of Gridley having worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator. He served in the United States Coast Guard and was stationed state side. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Zona Pinion and one brother, Charles Brice Pinion.
Donald is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Shirley Pinion of Gridley, California and two sons: Donald Gregory Pinion of Gridley, California and Jerry Wayne Pinion of Gridley, California. He is also survived by two Granddaughters: Jenelle Pinion of Gridley, California and Savannah Pinion of Hawaii; one Grandson, Zachary Pinion of Hawaii and one Great-Granddaughter Jayla Alzarez of Gridley, California.
Pastor Dwight Deaton of Christian Life Assembly of God Church in Gridley will officiate at the services.
Interment will be held at Gridley-Biggs Cemetery, Gridley, California.
Contributions to the American Heart Association are suggested by the family.
Arrangements are entrusted to Gridley-Block Funeral Chapel.
