Representatives of Renewable Energy Institute Int., (REII) visited Gridley last Friday to not only bring a 100-ton biodiesel unit for demonstration, but Engineer Robert Schuetzle of REII announced that his firm received great news just one hour before the meeting at Gridley City Hall.

A $20 million federal grant was received for the development of the bio diesel plant that is proposed to be coming to Gridley, the first such location for the 300-ton capacity biorefinery.
