Butte Interagency Narcotics Task Force perform Bust

On November 19, 2008, at approximately 7:10 a.m., members of the Butte County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team, the Butte Interagency Narcotics Task Force (BINTF), and the California Department of Justice (CA/DOJ), Bureau of Narcotic Enforcement (BNE) executed a search warrant at 1890 Farris Road, Gridley, California (CA).

Found as a result of the search warrant was approximately 18,949.65 grams (41.55 pounds) of marijuana packaged for sales, packaging materials, scales, pay-owe records, and $8,155 in United States currency.  There was also a loaded 12 gauge shotgun found on the property and one hundred and five (105) growing marijuana plants.  Agents located two adult subjects in the residence and a one (1) month old infant.  The street value of the marijuana is estimated at $379,000.

Arrested as a result of the search warrant were:

Josh Lance COOPER, age 30, of Gridley, CA, for possession for sales of marijuana, cultivation of marijuana, maintaining a place where controlled substances are used/stored, armed in the commission of felony, ex-felon in possession of firearm, and child endangerment.  Bail was set at $195,000.

Myla Grace CASEBEER, age 26, of Gridley, CA., for child endangerment and possession of a loaded firearm in a motor vehicle.  Bail was set at $55,000.

The investigation into the illegal distribution of drugs from this residence is continuing and more arrests are anticipated.
