A Mystery Dinner Theatre is being held Thursday, May 6, 2010, at the Brown family home, 275 Hazel Street. The Biggs-Gridley Memorial Hospital Foundation is hosting this special event for the "Pink Passion for Digital Mammography campaign."
To date, the amount raised is $20,000 and the goal is at least $300,000 for the purchase of the latest technology in mammography, which will help ensure early detection of breast cancer.
Social hour begins at 5:30 p.m., and dinner will be at 6:30 p.m.
The chicken dinner, prepared by Jim Jackson and friends, will precede the entertainment, the Pink Panther Mystery Theatre, along with beautiful unique items for an opportunity drawing.
Local high school students are involved in the theatre, besides local talent such as Noah Herbold, Kirsten Storne-Piazza, Jeanne Hart and Barry Fallesen.
Dinner tickets are $35 each and available at Gridley Country Ford, The Wishing Corner and the Hospital.
Sponsorships for the dinner are greatly appreciated with the "Pink Panther" a $100 basket sponsorship; "Hot Pink" $250 sponsorship which includes two dinner tickets, recognition in The Gridley Herald and at the event; "Pink Passion" a $500 with name recognition at the event and The Gridley Herald, four tickets to the event and finally, the "Pink Diamond," a $1,000 with sponsor cards on all tables and a table for eight.
Beautiful gift items will include an Oscar de la Renta robe and fragrance; assorted collections of potted plants for patios; Cristalino Rosi Brut, cava; a unique collectible, Liberty Classic jigsaw puzzle - Camille Monet in the Garden, Claude Monet; a rose basket for the rose gardeners, and bath linens, bath salts and champagne for two. A fly fishing basket is being assembled for the men, among other items. A grilling basket is going to be available for those who like to grill along with a Spring Italian "Pantry" basket. A "New Baby" basket is being donated by Gridley Country Ford.
