The Butte County Elections Office is seeking more than 100 precinct workers to support the June 5Primary Election.

Interested community members must complete an application, attend a training in Oroville, help set up polling places and support a local precinct on Tuesday, June 5. Precinct workers who complete their duties will earn $130 to $175, based on their support position.

Precinct worker positions/descriptions include:

· Precinct Inspector:

o Required to attend training at the Oroville Training Center

o Must have a reliable car to pick up equipment Saturday, June 2

o Set up polling place on the Monday, June 4

o Complete closing paper work and deliver ballots, touch screens and all supplies to a local designated receiving center

o Potentially earn stipend amount of $175

· Voting System Specialist

o Required to attend training at the Oroville Training Center

o Responsible for setting up the touch screen equipment on the Monday, June 4

o Assist voters with the touch screens

o Complete closing procedures for the Touch Screens

o Computer experience preferred.

O Potentially earn stipend amount of $155

· Clerk

o Required to attend training at the Oroville Training Center

o Assist with setting up the polling place on the Monday, June 4

o Assist voters throughout the day on Election Day

o Complete closing paperwork and breaking down of equipment, clean up polling place on Election night

o Potentially earn stipend amount of $130
