When Gridley High School sent out a "Catapult Emergency Messaging System" alert Monday afternoon in a planned drill after observing "intruder" Steve Kenny walking on the school grounds, Gridley-Biggs Police and Gridley Fire showed up to check the school. Kenny checked that all classroom doors were locked and Gridley High staff, faculty and students received praise from Gridley Unified Superintendent Jordan Reeves, Gridley High Principal Justin Kern and Gridley High Vice Principal Rikki Burresch along with Gridley-Biggs Police Detective Alfredo Rodriguez and Corporal Tyler Johnson. The Catapult system is linked directly to the police department for quick response.
