Come join the festivities and sixty years of Gold Nugget Days history! Join the Paradise community as it celebrates its annual Gold Nugget Days in the heart of the northern California gold country. The event begins with the Gold Nugget Queen contest, located at the Paradise Performing Arts Center, Thursday, April 26at 7 p.m. Events continue throughout the four-day celebration, building to a crescendo for the parade on April 28, noon to 2 p.m. There will be local celebrities and surprise guests. The Pair-O-Dice Chapter of E. Clampus Vitus’ Donkey Derby will reenact the transport of the 1850s fifty-four pound nugget from the West Branch of the Feather River to old Magalia.

Looking for fun after the parade? The Paradise Depot Party, located in Community Park, will feature live music, libations, and food truck fare throughout the afternoon and into the early evening. To top it off, the first Gold Nugget Days Hoedown will be held at the Paradise Elks Lodge from seven to 11 p.m. Sunday at the museum: savor the deep pit barbecue, and enjoy live music, games, and more. The Gold Nugget Museum is proud to host this family-friendly event!
