Everyone deserves the opportunity to live a long, healthy life free from preventable disease and injury. This is what public health workers strive towards every day. Inside health departments in every corner of the country, public health workers endeavor to ensure the basic foundations necessary for good health – access to life saving vaccines; investigate and contain disease outbreaks; inform, educate, and empower people about health issues, just to name a few. Join Sutter County Public Health in creating a healthier Sutter County!
As part of National Public Health Week 2018 (April 2-April 5), The Sutter County Public Health Division will be hosting 3 free health fairs centered around the theme “Creating a Healthier Sutter.” All Sutter County residents are invited to attend:
“Healthy Life” Event: Monday, April 2, 2018 - Veterans Hall (1425 Veterans Memorial Circle) – 11am to 3pm
“Healthy Mind” Event: Tuesday, April 3, 2018 - Sutter County Public Health (1445 Veterans Memorial Circle) – 11am to 3pm
“Healthy Kids” Event: Thursday, April 5, 2018 - Veterans Hall (1425 Veterans Memorial Circle) – 11am to 3pm
With a series of interactive activities, educational materials on injury and lead prevention, tobacco education, family emergency preparedness, and chronic disease we hope to educate and engage community members about public health disparities and solutions in addition to encouraging families to get active and healthy in 2018. This is a free community event for children and families.
