The Butte County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Unit, an all-volunteer auxiliary unit of the Butte County Sheriff’s Office is very pleased to announce that their new Command Trailer and Tow Vehicle are now “IN SERVICE”. The team held a formal dedication ceremony on Friday, February 23, 2018,with team members providing tours of the new equipment, with a brief dedication ceremony to formally thank the many donors and suppliers that helped make this state of the art Command trailer a reality.

Butte County Search and Rescue Volunteers are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Team members respond to many different types of incidents, including searches for lost or missing persons, technical/over the edge rescues, air rescues, swift water and dive rescues, mountain and remote area rescues, wildland fire and flood evacuations, as well as providing technical assistance to local law enforcement agencies.
