The Valley Quilt Guild will present their 35th annual quilt show, “Rhapsody in Red,” March 10th & 11th, 2018 at the Yuba-Sutter Fairgrounds. The show will feature an infinite variety of red and white quilts from members. Saturdays show is 10 am – 5 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m., to 4 p.m. Parking is free and admission is just $7. The featured quilter this year is a beautiful collection of Red and White Quilts from Northern California Quilt Guilds. The drawing for a gorgeous red and white opportunity quilt will be Sunday at 3 p.m. With more than 250 quilts on display, lots of vendors, raffle prizes and great food from the Yuba College Culinary group, this is an event not to miss. The funds raised from this quilt show will help with the expenses of community service programs, monthly speakers, and general operations.

The Yuba-Sutter Valley Quilt Guild was started in 1981 and has grown to more than 150 members. The group meets on the last Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m., at The Caltrans District 3 Office, 703 B Street, Marysville.

Through educational meetings and fellowship, the group strives to contribute to the knowledge of quilting, quilt techniques, textiles, patterns, history, and quilt makers. They promote the appreciation of fine quilts and encourage growth of knowledge with different techniques through guest speakers and teachers.
