Back by popular demand, the Gridley Branch of the American Association of University Women have organized a Gourmet Chowder Dinner at the Gridley Moose Lodge for Friday, February 9 from 6-8 p.m. Homemade Clam or Corn-Potato-Leek Chowder will be served in a toasty Sourdough Bread Bowl; along with a delicious Fruit and Vegetable Salad Bar; a very fancy Puff Pastry, Bavarian Cream and Fruit Dessert Tart; and coffee, tea, and fruit and herb flavored waters. Tickets are just $15; children under 10 for $6 (under 3 free); with advanced table reservations for eight or more reduced to just $13 per person. Adult beverages and soft drinks will be available in the Moose Social Quarters. Also available is a BYOB wine option with a corkage fee of $6 per bottle.

Advance tickets are recommended and can be purchased from AAUW members; at the offices of The Gridley Herald; at The Make-Up Room on Hazel St.; and at the Gridley Moose Social Quarters. Tickets, if still available, will also be sold at the door.
Net proceeds will help fund scholarships for five, 7th grade girls (from Gridley, Biggs and Live Oak) for a week-long Tech Trek STEM/Science summer camp adventure at U.C. Davis, with activities by leading STEM/Science teachers and professionals in their fields. AAUW also offers part of its dinner proceeds to the WOTM scholarship program and the highly recognized and respected Mi C.A.S.A. student program.
AAUW continues to be grateful for ongoing community support in sending our local young women to participate in this timely and life-altering experience in STEM/science areas of study.
