Alyx Lauren Hill, age 21, passed away on January 4, 2018, in Ridgecrest, California. She was born to Megan Clark and Jack Hill on November 23, 1996, and was beloved stepdaughter to Jeremiah Clark for 15 years of her life. Memorial services for her friends and family will be held at a later date, both in California and in her home state of Indiana.
Alyx lived in Ridgecrest for six years and attended both Burroughs High School and Opportunities for Learning. Ridgecrest Xtreme All-Stars helped her fulfill her dream of being a competitive cheerleader, and attending the Nationals in Las Vegas was one of her most cherished memories. She was a kindhearted soul who loved people and enjoyed making those around her smile, whether she knew them or not.
Alyx was preceded in death by her father, and her brother, Christian Switzer; and she leaves behind her mother, stepfather, grandparents, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
