California Highway Patrol officers are still searching for a 2013 Ford F150 with damage to the right front headlight with a possible shattered windshield after the vehicle's driver struck and killed Leslie Mize, 49, of Biggs December 19 west of the intersection of B Street and Highway 99.
The accident occurred around 8:04 p.m., when Mize was walking towards Biggs with his German Shepherd. The German Shepherd was found at the home the pair was walking to in Biggs.
Officers reported it is believed Mize was crossing the street from the south side to the north side of B Street, directly in the path of the vehicle traveling eastbound on B Street.
Anyone with information on this collision is asked to call the CHP at 538-2700.
