California Highway Patrol officers are searching for a 2013 Ford F150 with damage to the right front headlight with a possible shattered windshield after the vehicle's driver struck and killed Leslie Mize, 49, of Biggs Tuesday night west of the intersection of B Street and Highway 99.

According to witnesses, Mize was walking towards Biggs with his German Shepherd around 8:04 p.m.

Officers reported it is believed Mize was crossing the street from the south side to the north side of B Street, directly in the path of the vehicle traveling eastbound on B Street.

Anyone with information on this collision is asked to call the CHP at 538-2700.

The last fatal hit-and-run in this area was December 29, 2016 when Gregory Howard was killed at Obermeyer and Highway 99.
