The Gridley High school boys basketball team went into the holiday break on a winning note Tuesday night, besting Live Oak, 56-42

With the win, Gridley improved to 9-4 on the 2017 season.

Tyler Little had 21 points, 19 rebounds, and four assists to lead the Gridley effort.

Brian Wilkerson added 12 points, six assists, and four steals.

Randy Miller chipped in with seven points. "He's playing great basketball for us," Gridley coach Chay Dake said.

Gridley is idle until after the holidays. The Bulldogs pick up in early 2018 with a Jan. 4 game at the Oroville Tournament.

Gridley girls 53, Live Oak 34

At Live Oak, it was freshman Kennedy Tull continuing her hot start to the 2017-18 season to lead the Bulldogs over the Lions.

Tull had 16 points and her older sister added 14 to go with 15 rebounds for a double-double.

Elle Miskin added 19 points and 10 rebounds for her own double-double for Live Oak.
