The annual Fall Luncheon for the Orchard Hospital Auxiliary was held at the Gridley Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, October 31.
Following an informative and amusing video by Jay Croy and committee reports by members of the Board, new members of the group were introduced and pins were presented to members for their years of service. All members were given an opportunity to get their required annual flu shots.
Joyce Spence passed around a collection plate for donations to the gifts bag for the presents to the patients at the Hovlid Center, which is a project the Auxiliary participates in each year. Joyce also showed the group the beautiful knitted afghan which will be auctioned at the hospital tree lighting later in the month, along with a large Christmas basket. President Stephanie Cunha presented the Auxiliary’s annual donation to the hospital. This year $2,500 will go toward updating the hospital security system. Hospital Administrator Steve Stark gave the group an update on pending improvements to the hospital. A delicious luncheon served by members of the Orchard Hospital dietary staff followed the program.
