Lester Carter, 84, of Live Oak, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2017 after a short illness with his family by his side.

Lester was born to Claude and Irene, in Nebraska. He was a long time Yuba-Sutter resident enjoying life with Darlia. Lester served two years in the Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Plumas Lake Golf Course and was a member of the Moose Lodge #1549 in Gridley. He was a self-employed Building Contractor for over twenty years. Traveling in their motorhome and golf were Lester's life passions.

Lester was preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Darlia, and brothers LeRoy, Hubert and Walt.

Those who shared his life were two sons: Rick and wife Teressa, of Biggs, and their son Nick Armocido and wife Brittny, of El Dorado Hills, California, John and wife Alisa, of Yuba City, and their two children, Megan Carter, of West Sacramento and Joshua Carter, of Yuba City; sister, Gwen Finch and husband Ron, of Indio, California.

Lester leaves behind three great-grandsons: Maverick, Bryce and Ashton Armocido, of El Dorado Hills, California and numerous nieces and nephews as well as many close friends and associates who will miss him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017, at the Moose Lodge, 1533 Highway 99 in Gridley, California 95948, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
