It is safe to say that any new provider feels welcome at Orchard Hospital's Medical Specialty Center when coming to work here. Mary Titmus has been welcomed by the staff and the community.

Mary went through orientation last week and has already started seeing patients. Titmus will work in Gridley Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and Fridays in the Medical Specialty Center Oroville.

She and her husband Chad have a daughter Allison and are excited to live in Gridley and be near their family members Lena and Blane Sannar. Mary grew up in Washington and in Utah.

Most recently, Titmus worked as a PA-C at the Waldorf Center for Plastic Surgery since 2015 where she assisted in many surgical procedures including mastectomy and breast reconstruction, pediatric cranioplasty, complex MOHS defect closure, cosmetic breast surgery, and cosmetic body contouring. She performed cosmetic procedures in office including cosmetic injections, laser skin resurfacing and non-invasive body contouring.

While there might not be a lot of call for these types of procedures at Orchard Hospital, Titmus has had a vast amount of education receiving her Bachelors of Science with a Major in Exercise Science at Brigham Young University, Utah and her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies at Pacific University in Hillsboro, OR.

Titmus loves working in pediatrics and enjoys helping all ages especially for women's health.

Her clinical experience includes family medicine treating all age groups with conditions ranging from otitis media to heart failure, inpatient medicine responding to most presenting ED patients and worked with the provider to diagnose, treat and admit patients, community medicine attaining knowledge on the management of chronic diseases, with a focus in pain management and Emergency Medicine at a 24 hour level III, 32 bed emergency room at Mercy Medical Center in Roseburg, OR.

Titmus also worked in general surgery, internal medicine and cardiothoracic surgery.

The Medical Specialty Center in Gridley offers a female provider each of the seven days it is open.

Titmus has a passion for travel with family and loves to learn about different cultures. She speaks three languages and her goal is to learn a new language for every decade of her life. She loves the outdoors, especially camping, hiking and backpacking and loves her time in the kitchen when she can try new recipes.
