The Biggs Wolverines go into their second game of the season after a loss against Hamilton at home August 24.

The Wolverines lost by a wide margin in their opener at home 62-28.

“It would have been nice to beat those guys,” Rutledge said about the team where he last served as assistant coach.

Rutledge said his team got a look at how far it needs to go to defend its 2016 CIF Northern Section Division 5 title.

“We need to work on some things,” Rutledge said. “We didn’t block or tackle well.”

The Wolverines got 123 yards on 18  carries with a TD from senior running back Brian Caro.

Biggs also got rushing TDs from junior QB Tucker Bennett, Chazz Osborne and Daniel Velasquez.

Bennett left the game early with a concussion. His status for tonight's game is unknown at press time.
