The anguish that Pam Miller has endured the past eight months is to be expected after losing her son Greg Howard to a hit-and-run driver December 29, 2016.
Howard was walking southbound on Highway 99 across from Obermeyer Avenue at approximately 5:37 p.m., when he was struck by an unknown vehicle.
No witnesses have come forward which leaves the investigation at a standstill according to Gridley-Biggs Police Sgt. Scott Smallwood.
Miller is grateful for the RN who stopped to perform CPR on her son after the accident happened. She thinks her son was possibly pushing a shopping cart as he headed to her home south of Gridley but unfortunately, he did not make it there.
Howard would have turned 41-years-of-age two days later after he was killed.
"Everybody's life matters. He was my only son. I lost my family that day," Miller, who suffers from major depression since the accident and already had Post Traumatic Stress Disorder since the death of another family member.
Anyone with information is asked to call Sgt. Smallwood at 846-5678.
